Hilda Battson Obituary

Hilda A. Battson, 82, formerly of Sidney, Ohio died at Piqua Manor in Piqua, Ohio on Monday, May 31, 2010 at 2:00 PM after an extended illness. She was born October 5, 1927 in Fort Loramie, Ohio the daughter of Robert and Helen (Schlater) Schulze and they are deceased. She married Harold J. Battson on June 1, 1949 and he died in 1988. Surviving are six children, Mrs. Dominic (Jean) Flory of Henrietta, New York; Harold James Battson Jr. and wife Lisa of Eatonton, Georgia; Gerald Battson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Joyce Dobson of Westerville, Ohio; Mrs. Dan (Janet) Dimiduk of Huber Heights, Ohio and Mrs. Olenger (Judi) Bloxson of Orrville, Ohio; five brothers and sisters, Al Schulze and wife Mary Lou of Russia, Ohio; Ralph Schulze and wife Rita of Russia, Ohio; Norma Middendorf of Fort Loramie, Ohio; Luella Albers and husband Pete of Fort Loramie, Ohio; Dianne Winner and husband Earl of Minster, Ohio; sister-in-law, Betty Schulze of Versailles, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Gene Baltes of Tiffin, Ohio and Richard Frantz of Versailles, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, Erin Camargo and husband Dan of Troy, Michigan; Brian Flory and wife Karen of West Hollywood, California; Jason Flory of Rochester, New York; Jessica Battson of Conroe, Texas; Greta Battson and husband Jeremy McDonald of Dave City, Florida; Jed and Jerrod Battson of Slater, Missouri; Marissa, Martina and Morgan Dimiduk of Huber Heights, Ohio; Ollie Bloxson of Akron, Ohio; and Jonathon and Eric Bloxson of Orrville, Ohio and four great-grandchildren, Devin, Zoie, Brayden and Isabella Stafford of Conroe, Texas. Deceased is one son, Jonathon Battson, brother, Clarence Schulze and sister-in-law, Helen; Vera Bemus and husband Jack; Urban Schulze and wife Thelma; Paul Schulze and wife Trudy; Mary Magoteaux and husband Lowell; sister, Helen Frantz; brothers-in-law, Carl Middendorf and Ken Meyer and two granddaughters, Nicole and Sarah Dobson. Mrs. Battson was a 1945 graduate of Russia High School, Russia, Ohio and had worked at Amos Press in Sidney for many years as a proofreader. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Schmitmeyer. Burial will be at Cedar Point Cemtery, Pasco, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 4-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Endowment Fund, 324 S.
