Henrietta Martin Obituary

Henrietta Catherine Martin, 89, 4129 Children's Home Rd., Sidney, Ohio died at Fair Haven Shelby County Home, Sidney, Ohio on Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at 9:00 PM. She was born February 13, 1914 in Shelby County the daughter of Albert and Clara (Monnin) Couchot. She was married October 14, 1933 to Virgil Martin and he died in 1993. Surviving are four children, Jane Martin of Highland Heights, Ohio; Richard and wife Suzie Martin of Sidney; Lee and wife Linda Martin of Sidney; and David and wife Cindy Martin of Columbus, Ohio; thirteen grandchilren, twenty three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving are three brothers, Robert Couchot of Melbourne, Florida; Frebert of Piqua, Ohio; and Norris of Indianapolis, Indiana. Three sisters and six brothers are deceased. She was a member of the sewing, stitchery and embroidery club; homemaker's club; volunteer at FISH for over 25 years and the Rosary Altar Society at Holy Angels Catholic Church where she was a member. She had been a cook at Orange Township school for many years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Earl Fernandes. Burial will be at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Ohio. Friends may call on Friday, June 13, 2003 from 5-8 PM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fair Haven Shelby County Home Activities Fund, 2901 Fair Rd., Sidney, Ohio 45365 or FISH, 227 E. Court St., Sidney, Ohio 45365 or the charity of one's choice.
