Edith J. Sedam, 87, Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney, Ohio died at the retirement community on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:25 AM. She was born November 25, 1924 in Sidney, Ohio the daughter of Carl H. and Emma (Behr) Yost and they preceded her in death. She was a 1942 graduate of Holy Angels School in Sidney. She married Chester Reineke in February of 1944 and he died in 1981. She married William Sedam in 1982 and died in 2007. Surviving is a son, Joseph Reineke and wife Sylvia of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; four step children, Ken Sedam and wife Tammy of Marion, Ohio, Gloria Fory and husband Alan of Hull, England, Marjorie Clarke and husband Cliff of Nottingham, England and Diane Lowther of Huddersfield, England, two grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren, one sister, Rita Brun and husband Fred of Dayton, Ohio and two brothers, Richard Yost and wife Pat of Virginia and Raphael Yost and wife Ann of Clayton, Ohio. Three sisters, Wilma Jenkins, Doris Ware and Eileen Shrader and one brother, Robert Yost are deceased. She was the credit manager at Montgomery Ward's Store in Sidney for 27 years. She was Ralph Stolle's secretary at Stolle Precision in Sidney for 10 years. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dan Schmitmeyer. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 1-4 PM and at Holy Angels Catholic Church on Monday from 9-10:15 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice, 1083 Fairington Dr., Sidney, Ohio 45365 or the Trinity United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 74 East High St., Mt. Gilead, Ohio 43338.
