Donald E. Hall

Donald E. Hall, 86, Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney, Ohio, passed away at the retirement community on Thursday, January 14, 2016.   He was born November 11, 1929 the son of Clifford and Mabel (Masters) Hall and they are deceased.   Surviving is his wife Ina (Metz) Hall; three children, David Hall, Donna Hall and Dwayne (Holly) Hall; six stepchildren, Mary (Michael) Masteller, Richard (Deborah) Metz, Barbara (John) Craun, Robert (Christine) Metz, Judy (Paul) Schonberger and Joseph (Melissa) Metz; two grandchildren, thirteen step-grandchildren, twenty-two step great-grandchildren and a brother, Carl (Peggy) Hall and two sisters, Cheryl (Tom) Till and Janet (Jim) Sutton.   A step grandson, sister, Pat Self and two brothers, Robert Hall and Vickey Hall are deceased.   Donald served in the Navy during the Korean War.   He was a member of the VFW and past exalted ruler of the Elks.  Donald had been employed for many years at Cooper-Jarrett Trucking Company as a truck driver and also had been employed at one time at the Bamal Company.    Don was a fond lover of dogs and had many during his lifetime.   He enjoyed camping, boating and gardening.   Friends may call at the Amos Chapel at Dorothy Love Retirement Community, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., Sidney, Ohio on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.    Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Chaplain Larry Oberdorf.   Burial will be at a later date at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio.   Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney is handling the funeral arrangements.    Condolences may be expressed to the Hall family on Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home’s web site at:   www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com    Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice, 1083 Fairington Dr., Sidney, Ohio  45365 or the Dorothy Love Life Care Fund, 3003 W.
