Cordelia Watercutter Obituary

Cordelia May Watercutter, 82, a resident of Otterbein Retirement Home in Criderville, Ohio, died at her residence on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 6:06 AM. She was formerly of Sidney, Ohio. She was born on February 18, 1926, in Darke County, the daughter of the late Leo and Emma (Treon) Marchal. She was married in 1948 to Roger Knob, who died in 1962. In 1971, she married Robert Eugene Watercutter, who died May 24, 2003. Surviving are four children, Joyce Elsass and husband Ron of Columbus, Georgia, Brenda Gray and husband Jack of Lexington, Kentucky, Mary Farler and husband Dan of Lima, and Greg Knob of Lima; nine grandchildren, Danny L. Farler II, David W. Farler, Shanna Farler, Jason Gray, Nathan Gray, Ronnie Elsass Jr., Joshua Elsass Jr., Nicole Barrera and Holly Leide; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Norman Marchal and wife Esther of Minster, Paul Marchal and wife Vera of Versailles, and Jim Marchal and wife Eileen of St. Paris; and three sisters, Thelma Barhorst and husband Harold of Fort Loramie, Dorothy Hatcher and husband Dick of Piqua, and Donna Partington of Troy. A son, Roger Knob; a brother, Jerry Marchal; and a sister, Mary Francis, preceded her death. She had attended Ohio Beauty Academy in Dayton at one time. She had been employed at Copeland Corp. in Sidney for 43 years retiring 8n 1993. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Jason Bedel officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 1373 Grandview Ave., Suite 200, Columbus, Ohio 43212 or St. Rita's Hospice of Lima.
