Cleveland (Ed) Sylvester Cox, 79, 325 S. Highland Ave., Sidney, Ohio died on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1:34 PM at Wilson Memorial Hospital of an apparent stroke. He was born April 28, 1933 in Jellico, Tennessee, the son of Harry and Maggie (Caddell) Cox and they are deceased. He was married in 1953 to Frankie Wilson and she died in 1986. He was later married to Sally McNeilan and she died in 1997. Surviving is his special companion, Ann Wise, three daughters, Vicki Coburn of Bartow, Florida, Connie Wilson and husband Rodney of Sidney and Sherry Wade of Sidney and nine grandchildren, Chad Wilson of Sidney, Ohio, Amanda Siebert of Sidney, Ohio, Dereck Ayers of Jahneta, Florida, Kelli Renew of Tampa, Florida, Darren Coburn of Sidney, Ohio, Kayli Coburn of Sidney, Ohio, April King of Sidney, Ohio, Jeremy Wade of Sidney, Ohio and Brandon Cox of Aurora, Colorado and twenty-one great grandchildren. One son, Rickey W. Cox is deceased. Also one sister and two brothers are deceased. Mr. Cox had worked at Wagner Manufacturing for many years and then worked at LeRoi Dresser in Sidney as a laborer for many years. He was a United States Army veteran from the Korean War. He loved to dance and loved nature. He was a member of the Salvation Army, Sidney American Legion, Sidney AmVets, Sidney VFW, Wapakoneta Eagles and the Celina Moose. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Jarrett. Burial will follow with full military honors at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home from noon until the hour of service on Wednesday.
