Charles R. Doak, 92, 21237 Blank Pike Rd., Wapakoneta, Ohio, formerly of Sidney, Ohio died at his residence on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 1:30 AM. He was born June 7, 1916 in Plattsville, Ohio the son of Ernest and Goldie (McMaster) Doak and they are deceased. In 1948 he married Theodora A. Otting and she died August 16, 1985. He later married Cheryl Bishop and she survives along with two nieces, Rebecca Martin of Piqua, Ohio and Carol Ruese of Minster, Ohio. A half sister, Martha J. Oldiges is deceased. Mr. Doak was a World War II Army veteran of the 36th division. He was a member of the Sidney DAV, VFW, American Legion and AMVETS. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He had worked at Monarch Machine in Sidney for 35 years as a grind operator and retired in 1983. He loved motorcycles and working on lawnmowers.
