Betty Oelke Obituary

Betty J. Oelke, 67, Jackson Towers, 333 E. North St., Sidney, Ohio died at Jackson Towers on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 11:35 AM of natural causes. She was born April 23, 1940 in Jellico, Tennessee the daughter of Claude and Sarah (Jefferies) Davis and they are deceased. She moved to Sidney in 1963 from Dayton, Ohio. Surviving are one son, Rodney Oelke of Sidney, Ohio; two grandsons, Kevin Oelke of Very Beach, Florida and Dillon Oelke of Sidney, Ohio and two granddaughters, Karen Mills of Sidney and Melissa Bernardino of Sidney and six great-grandchildren, Blake Oelke, Haylee Oelke, Rudy Bernardino, Jamal Bernardino, Gregory Doak and Isiah Bernardion; two sisters, Alane Leach of Baltimore, Maryland and Elizabeth Crabe of LaFollette, Tennessee and two brothers, Sam Davis of Corbin, Kentucky and Robert Davis of Ft. Myers, Florida. Three brothers and three sisters are deceased. She was a 1958 graduate of Williamsburg High School in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She was a volunteer on the Shelby Life Rescue Squad, a member of the Federated Women of Ohio and the Democrat Women. She was a member of the Full Gospel Community Church, Sidney. She was retired from Copeland Corporation in 199 after more than 30 years. She was an electrical mechanical specialist assembler. Her grandson, Dillon, was one of the most special persons in her life. She was a very loving and devoted grandmother and devoted friend. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Full Gospel Community Church, 950 S. Children's Home Rd., Sidney, Ohio with Pastor Charles Jarrett. Memorial contributions may be made to Full Gospel Community Church.
