Betty Hanson Obituary

Betty A. Hanson, 74, 100 Barr Dr., Sidney, Ohio died at Dorothy Love Retirement Community on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 3:17 AM from Alzheimer's. She was born August 17, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Russell and Miriam (Horner) Bush and they are deceased. She moved to Sidney in October, 1999 from San Antonio, Texas. She married Wayne Hanson on December 23, 1950 and he survives along with four children, Steve Hanson of Fairbanks, Alaska; Gregg Hanson and his wife Katherine of San Francisco, California; Kimberly Scheffler and husband Gary of San Antonio, Texas; and Todd Hanson and his wife Christa of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jason Hanson, Joseph Hanson, Danielle Davis, Adrienne Davis, Shane Scheffler, Brooke Hanson, Brittany Hanson and Derek Hanson. She was a graduate of Oakwood High School, Dayton, Ohio and attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio for two years in education. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was a Presbyterian for sixty years. She had been a model, fashion coordinator and fashion instructor for many years. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2004 at 1:00 PM at the Dorothy Love Retirement Community - Oliver and Peg Amos Chapel with Dr. Fred B. Lacuesta. Burial will be at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Oakwood, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Attention: LuAnn Presser. Envelopes will also be available at the service.
