Betty Jane Elsass

Betty Jane Elsass, 82, 22 McCormick Trails, Milford, Ohio and formally of Sidney, Ohio died at the Loveland Health Care Center in Loveland, Ohio on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 1:40 AM. She was born September 23, 1930 in Sidney, Ohio the daughter of Charlie and Justina (Schmitmeyer) Nicholson and they are deceased. She was married in 1947 to Wilbur L. Elsass and he died July 30, 1994. Surviving are four children, Rebecca Profitt and husband Ray of Kennesaw, Georgia, Cynthia Bowersox and husband Steve of Sidney, Jon Elsass and wife Pam of Milford, Ohio and Ronald Elsass and wife Joyce of Suwanee, Georgia, two sisters, Ruth Ann Larger and husband Gene of Sidney and Janet Carr of St. Mary's, Ohio, three brothers, Vernon Nicholson and wife Violet of Maplewood, Ohio, Robert Nicholson of Huntington Beach, California and Thomas Nicholson and wife Evelyn of Indio, California, 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Mrs. Elsass had been employed at one time at Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney in the laundry department. She was a member of the Sidney American Legion and Holy Angels Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel Hess. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Grade School, 120 E. Water St., Sidney, Ohio 45365 or Wilson Hospice, 1083 Fairington Dr., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
