Gerry was a great man. Gerry certainly was a great role model for all to follow. You rarely see a man that works so hard, each and every day, to please everyone - that's the kind of person Gerry was every day. I am very lucky and glad to have had the chance of getting to know him. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with Carolyn, and his family. Mike and Renee Phillips and family.

Carolyn, I am so sorry, I missed the reunion this past year so I did not get to see you all, and especially Jerry, and I feel really bad about that, But now I feel bad about this, and am sorry for you. May you find comfort in the word of God and he will help you. Maybe I will see you the next time. Love and best wishes .

I was so saddened to learn of your loss. I remember Gerry and all the Vanderhorst family as such a kind and fun group. My Grandmother was Theda Luckey Vanderhorst and the kindness and joy that you shared with her in her later years has always been a model of what I would want to have and to give to others in my life. Praying for your comfort.

I have just learned of Mr. Vanderhorst's passing. My heart goes out to the Vanderhorst family. I have many fond memories of Mr. V. He was a kind, vibrant, fun loving man. I have never forgotten his generous heart nor a fun, crazy visit to Disneyworld, where I was a member of his family for a day. We saw two parks in 6 hours. He knew how to make the most out of life! He will be missed.
