In memory of Betty Jane Dickerscheid nee Nickell: Devoted wife of Robert L. Dickerscheid, loving mother of Jane Gardner and Robert K. Dickerscheid, caring grandmother of Katie Gardner. Proud graduate of Middletown School of Nursing, Middletown, Ohio. Dedicated nurse at Ft. Hamilton Hughes Hospital and Wilson Memorial Hospital of Sidney, Ohio. Always remembered and loved by her family and friends. Her life epitomized the loveliness of a sweet smelling rose. One does not realize the beauty of a rose until you have had the opportunity of seeing all the parts of its life from bud to blossom to decay to the sweet taste of tea from the rose hips. Thank you for the journey. It was our wife and mother's request for no traditional services and is now resting peacefully with her heavenly family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dorothy Love Retirement Community Employee Christmas Fund, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., Sidney, Ohio 45365 or Wilson Memorial Hospital, 915 W. Michigan St., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney is handling the funeral arrangements and condolences to the Dickerscheid family may be sent on Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home's web site at: www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com

My thoughts and prayers are with you on the passing of your wife and mother, Betty. I had the honor of knowing Betty as she worked for us at Heritage Family Medical. I have treasured memories of Betty and feel blessed to have spent that time with her. God bless all of you. Roberta Johnson

Doris Eustache and Marilou Coverstone

Bob and Family I often looked at Betty's shadowbox of her nursing vocation. I would smile at the little white hat that I'm sure she so proudly wore. Sometimes when I spoke to her she would grab my hand and smile. I remember Betty snapping her fingers to the music that you would bring at lunch time. The affection that the two of you had for each other was so obvious....and, yes, I did see those little kisses, too!! My Aunt and I send our deepest sympathy to all of you. In HIS Love, Doris, Betty's roommate, and Doris's niece, Marilou

Dear Bob, Jane, Bobby and Katie, I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy. Betty has been a good friend to me for many years, I have her to thank for the many years that I spent in the nursery. She was one of the most thoughtful people that I ever known. I know that you will miss her everyday. I know that above all else her family was the most important part of her life, she thought the world of you all. She will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved her. My deepest sympathy, Cathy
