Dear Bob, David, Tony, Susan and Linda, I'm sorry for your loss. While your father had a tough several years at the end, I'll always remember the good times in Sidney. He seemed like such a kind and gentle person. Of course he will be missed. My prayers are with him and with all of you. He's with your mother now, yet still with us in our hearts.

A flood of wonderful childhood memories I now recall, involving Uncle Gene. His shop was a magical place, full of Zenith delight! I can still picture him working at his bench in the back room, sunlight streaming in through the little windows, illuminating scopes and meters and mysterious electronic parts. I see him now with his ever-present smile, standing on the dock of his pond as we played “King of the Raft” on those huge hunks of Styrofoam. Huge TV boxes behind his shop provided hours of fun in the forts my siblings and cousins made of them. Riding in his van up the slippery trail to his beloved land was always a treat. When I could drive on my own, he was always willing to loan me the gate key, and I entertained many friends there, camping out on “the land”. All who met him were touched by his affable manner and quiet kindness. He guided his children well, now all delightful adults. He climbed tall antenna masts long after most folks retire. He worked late hours and weekends keeping the magic of TV alive for countless families. Uncle Gene was a great father and husband, an electronic genius, a craftsman, and a caring steward of the earth. His gentle smile will be greatly missed.

We are former customers from way back. We bought all our TVS from Gene beginning in the late sixies. Gene delivered our first color set right before Neil Armstrong did the moon walk and of course that was a thrill. We remember that when you bought a new TV, he would deliver it and say keep for a few days or week and let me know if you want to buy it. Of course, our first vcrs were bought from him. Thanks for being an honest and caring business- man, Gene. May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

To the Lochtefeld Family, You and your family are in so many thoughts, and in the prayers,of all those who knew, and respected, your Dad. We remember in years past how he made house calls :), to attend to anyone who had an ailing Zenith television. Can you imagine that happening in today's world? No way..... Hold tight to your memories for comfort, lean on your family, and friends, for strength. With our Sincere Sympathy, Joyce and Netta Stewart
